Mike Brouwers
President

Lover of good food, craft beer, and music, husband, father of four.

Mike is a graduate of Davenport University with High Honors. He has been with the agency  since 2003, becoming agency President in 2013. He is active in his church,  Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church, having recently served three years and deacon and church treasurer and presently on the technology committee.  Mike also serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents and is the President of the West Michigan Association of Insurance Agents.  Outside of work Mike can be found spending time with his kids, at a concert at Van Andel Arena or Meijer Gardens, or enjoying dinner out with his wife. He is also a secret guitar player.

Greg is a graduate of Messiah College with a degree in Marketing. He started with J. B. Harrison Insurance in 2013. A husband and father of 2, Greg spends most of his time trying to make all three of his girls laugh. He and his family are members of Hillside Community Church. He enjoys  cooking/baking, video games, mountain biking, traveling and watching all different kinds of “sportsball”.

Paul Brouwers, Sr

Paul founded the agency in 1990 after working as an agent for another independent agency. He has an Accredited Adviser in Insurance designation and does sales, marketing, and accounting for the agency. Paul is fascinated by sailing and recently took some American Sailing Association classes on Lake Macatawa. He loves to read and do woodworking. He and his wife Kim also enjoy traveling, especially to the Virgin Islands and to the Leelanau Peninsula.

Hillary is a Central Michigan Alum (Fire up Chips!) who has been in Customer Service her entire working life- from managing at Petsmart, to starting in Insurance in 2014 with Citizens. From there, she went to Farmers Insurance for 7 years where she specialized in  RV claims before joining the Brouwers team in August of 2022! When she's not working, you can find her spending time with her fam, trying the newest restaurant, or reading as much as she can!

Shelly is a graduate of Western Michigan University.  Joining the agency in December of 2020, she brings 10 years of insurance agency experience and over 30 years of Customer Service experience to her role.  She maintains her CPIA certification - Certified Professional Insurance Agent.  Outside of work, she and her husband own and operate a short term rental and a Home Watch business.  She enjoys long garden walks, staying fit, golfing, and entertaining her family and friends.

Briana worked 8 years in the manufacturing industry and transitioned over into insurance in September of 2021. In April of 2023 joined The Brouwers Agency team. When not at work you can find Briana enjoying time with her friends and their 12+ dogs, or at home cuddling her own fur babies and binge-watching a fantasy, drama, or comedy show or the next new movie!

Abby Graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2017. She spent a year in customer service and 2 years in property claims before joining JB Harrison in 2020. When not at work you can find Abby outside with her family, rooting for Michigan State University and Kansas City football, or enjoying her husbands cooking.

Jeff is a graduate of Grand Valley State University. He joined The Brouwers Agency in 2019, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge gained through his 13 years in the banking industry.  A long time Grand Rapids Resident, Jeff, his wife, and their three kids are very active in the community and are friends to many.  Outside of the office (and sometimes in!), Jeff enjoys good music, college football, Detroit baseball, bourbon, and beer.  His weekends are spent at Catholic Central sporting events, cheering on his kids and fellow Cougars.  In the summer he enjoys coaching his son's little league team and the company of friends and family. During the winter you'll find him with his family on the slopes.

Jordan graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2018 with a BBA in International Business and Marketing.  Shortly after graduating, she was hired at Thornapple Insurance as an Account Manager.  She was there for 4 years before joining the Brouwers team in 2022.  When not at work, Jordan can be found playing with her pets, practicing the piano, or curled up with a good book.

Mike is a 2007 Graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.  Mike joined JB Harrison as an intern in 2006 and has been an agent since 2007.  He Currently holds a CIC (certified Insurance Counselor) designation. 

Outside of work Mike enjoys spending time with family, chasing his kids around to all of their sporting events, fishing, and hunting.

Michael grew up in northern New Jersey, and is a graduate of Wagner College. Michael met his future wife Kate in 2010 on Cape Cod performing together in a summer stock light opera company. They and their son Kaleb now live happily on the farm where Kate grew up, and care for a small herd of show dairy goats. Michael came to the insurance industry after serving nearly fifteen years in the hospitality arena. He worked all positions in "front of house," but is most proud of the time he spent as a manager at Shaw's Crabhouse in Chicago. Outside of work, Michael enjoys the outdoors, good food, playing piano and guitar and spending time in a good book.
